316L Stainless Steel (Anti-tarnish, Waterproof and Sweat-proof)
We are very particular about not using anything but 316L Stainless Steel as the base material. Even Alloy based, Copper-based jewellery is non-tarnish but it is less durable than 316L Stainless Steel which is a superior quality of steel.
316L Stainless Steel is more corrosion resistant than 301, 302/304, 303 and even 316 Stainless Steel which are commonly used. It is very durable and can be easily polished.
The 316L Stainless Steel that we use is hypoallergenic and never turns people’s skin green. You can safely shower with our Stainless Steel jewellery and wash your hands with our rings without the ornaments getting any major damage. While the water might not cause any damage, harsh chemicals can.
18k PVD Gold Plated
All of our jewellery is 18k PVD Gold Plated. PVD stands for Physical Vapor Deposition and is a vacuum coating process of gold that produces a brilliant decorative and functional finish to the base metal. PVD utilizes a titanium nitride that provides an extremely durable coating.
PVD coatings are more resistant to corrosion from sweat and regular wear than regular gold plating.
Gold plating occurs when a thin layer of real gold is plated onto another metal, such as stainless steel. One of the advantages of gold-plating is that it gives the product the look of real gold.
On the other hand, gold plating doesn’t offer the durability of gold PVD coating and when scratched can reveal the base material. Our jewellery is a great choice for people who never take their jewellery off, as it is extremely vibrant and durable for many years.
