Talisman By Teertha is an online jewellery store that is based in Kerala, India. We specialize in anti-tarnish, waterproof and hypoallergenic jewellery. You can shower with our pieces, play Holi with it and seize the day wearing it.
Our Beginnings
The story starts with Teertha, a college student, with an ardent love for spicing up her everyday comfy fits with the right accessories. In her quest to brave the challenges of college life in style, she faced a major problem. All her limited and rather precious pocket money was repeatedly being spent on accessories that tarnished easily. To her utter frustration, some of them lasted a single wear, especially in the hot and humid summer months. She decided to deep-dive into the world of jewellery to find a possible solution. Her research eventually inspired her to launch Talisman By Teertha, a jewellery store that offers anti-tarnish and waterproof stainless-steel jewellery. Talisman is the culmination of our founder’s dreams and efforts to make sure that no one ever has to spent their hard-earned money on low quality pieces, like her younger self did. It was time to bid farewell to jewellery that fades colour quickly or turns your skin green.
Our Products
All our pieces are made of 316L Stainless Steel (surgical steel) and is 18k gold plated. It is plated using the PVD plating process and is free of nickel, lead, cadmium and phthalates, complying with California’s Proposition 65 standards. PVD coatings are more resistant to corrosion from sweat and regular wear than regular gold plating. Our jewellery is anti-tarnish, waterproof, hypoallergenic and sweat-resistant. Our pieces will not tarnish or fade colour for atleast 1.5 years.
We believe that quality jewellery is something that should be accessible to all, therefore we keep our profit margins low, to make the jewellery that we provide more affordable.
Our Mission
Artificial jewellery often looks tacky, is of poor quality and if at all it does look and feel premium, it comes at the cost of low durability and sky-high prices. More and more people are adopting sustainable consumption practices. They do not wish to spent on easily tarnishable jewellery that leads to creation of more waste in our environment.

We wish to change the outdated perception that jewellery is meant only as an investment, bought for special occasions, or for being gifted by one’s partner. We want our customers to view shopping for their favourite baubles, as a form of treating oneself.
